Thanks to Todd Holland for adding this peak.

Mt. Davis is Pennsylvania's highest summit and the highpoint on the thirty mile long Negro Mountain ridge. Located in the Forbes State Forest, the area offers hiking trails and an observation tower at the highpoint. The views from the tower are of the surrounding mountains and forests of the high Allegheny Plateau.

Mount Davis frequently has foul weather and ice storms that may occur any month of the year. Trees are stunted here and the summit area has an alpine feel. This mountain offers serenity and a sense of brooding solitude.
