Yesterday was another beautiful day on the Tower. Temperatures on the South Face were in the 60's. Watched and cheered as Brian & Janet cruised up Walt Bailey Memorial. Cristian Baird and I scooted up Durrance and investigated a wide, unclimbed crack off to the side. It will involve some very wide protection and some run-outs, but it Will go. Our off width efforts were greeted with encouragement from B&J. "....That's sick!! Truly Sick.!!!..." After summiting we all retired to our Home at Devils Tower Lodge; soaking in the hot tub, feasting on a Crockpot meal of beans, rice, lentils & good Wyoming Beef and rejoicing in the tales of B&J's winter climbing travels and Christian's insights to his Life as a sponsored snowboarding pro. These folks are so dear to me Heart; I pray that this life will hold many Adventures for us together, in the days ahead.........This morning, the ground has 3 inches of new snow and the Tower disappears and re-appears through the swirling flakes and fog. Beautiful, just Beautiful!! So, whenever you come to Wyoming, be sure to bring your shorts AND your down jacket. BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO LIVE OUT THEIR DREAMS.
