This pic was taken on August 16th 1997 after our descent from the Breithorn. In the background the marvellous pyramide of Weisshorn. Our guide Rudolf Slanitz has been on top of this summit after a difficult and long solo climb a few years before.

August 1st 1995: View from Langtauferer Ferner up to Weisskugel (in Italian: Palla Bianca), left side. We took the route from Melag via Rifugio Pio XI alla Palla Bianca (Alto Adige). On the way back my pal Rudolf Slanitz and me were overtaken by an intense thunderstorm, but we reached our car really bedraggled although unhurt.
