Volcan Mountain

The summit can be reached along Five Oaks Trail (a 1.2 mile through wooded area along a hilside, with oak and cedar trees providing good shade in most areas. Towards the top one folows afire road for 1.2 miles to the summit. The tallest point in the area is 5709 feet while the summit itself is pproximately 5300 feet. One can see views of Julian town and Aza Borrego Desert from the higher elevations of the hike.
