Mount Antero

This was the first fourteener for me and my son Mark (16 years old). We did it as part of a Boy Scout High Adventure trek. It was a super hike done over 2 days. The first day we hiked 6 miles from the Brown's Creek Trailhead to Brown's Lake. The next morning we got up at 4:00 AM and hiked the 4 miles to the summit. The weather was beautiful and the view was terrific. We then hiked back to High Camp, picked up our gear and then hiked back to the trailhead. This was our warm-up for Mount Whitney which we summitted on July 29th.
