I'm always happy when I climb Shasta as I have many memories here. This was my second mountain after Mt. Hood before I went on to more challenging ascents in the US. Unfortunately, this is the mountain I find the most unprepared climbers. I have encountered many in gym/athletic shoes with feet almost frozen.
