The best hike within Yellowstone National Park that provides awesome views in all directions. Grand Teton can be seen towards the south with the Yellowstone plateau and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone also clearly visible towards the south/south east.
The oneway 3.2 mile hike from Dunraven Pass Road (@ 8859 ft)to the summit of the peak was worth it. Trail is simple although snow at a few places resulted in me putting my hiking sticks to good use. Summit is at 10243 feet with a shelter for employees who use the structure as a fire lookout.
No bear sightings on the trail, but it is always good to take due precautions while in bear country.
