Description
Ipala is an excelent day hike, and very rewarding. Ascent of the small cone takes just one hour, to arrive at the crater, which is half a kilometer in diameter and is filled with water, making it a very interesting volcano. The top part is still covered in lush vegetation. Deforestation is very threatening to the voclano, and there have been initiatives to make it a pretected reserve. Email me for more info.
