Description
New York State's second highest peak. Named by Verplanck Colvin in 1873 while he was survaying it. The summit cap is well above tree line and offers views including 135 lakes on a clear day. The summit is home to hundreds of alpine plants, only found on a handful of other Adirondack peaks.
