Slide Mountain

Went up Slide and Cornell and back. Great hike- not overly difficult, but just strenuous enough- and beautiful views, especially from Cornell. The trees at the Slide summit are getting too high to get a clear view, although there's a great ledge right before you get there, which provides a great view of the North. A fellow hiker told me that 10 years ago he had seen an airplane wreck about 50 yards to the left of the trail going down the east side of Slide. We tried to find it but couldn't.
