Description
The Dent de Lys is in the Fribourg-Bernese Pre-Alps. Two major routes lead to the top, converging at the Col de Lys (1783 m): the west route starts from the village of les Paccots (1061 m), while the east route leaves from the village of Les Sciernes (900 m). From the Col de Lys, the trail follows a ridge, then descends towards rocks to climb again to another ridge. Several passages through the rocks are equipped with chains and require scrambling and some basic climbing. On the final ridge the trail becomes narrow and exposed and leads to the summit of the Dent de Lys (2014 m).
