Description
Mt Huntley (1261m)in in the Main Range South West of Brisbane which is part of the great dividing range and great escarpment. The peak lies in the Main Range National Park part of the Gondwana Rainforests World Heritage area. The peak lies South of Cunningham's Gap and the Cunningham Highway.
Mt Mitchell is to the North of this peak while the rainforest clad Mt Asplenium and the highest Peak in the Range Mt Superbus 1375m lies to the South.
On the slopes of the peak grows eucalypt forest and woodland including including spectacular large and old Grass Trees Xanthorrhoea glauca which are a feature of this vegetation.
