Yagumyum Peak is the second highest peak of Mount Talinis. Most of those who have an acquaintance with the mountain do not know the name of this 1700-meter peak. It is situated close to Yagumyum Lake and some quarters simply name it after the lake where it is closely situated.
An alternative trail which is less frequented by trekkers who prefer to use the one passing by Nailig Lake, connects Yagumyum Lake to Valencia town. This northward trail ascends the sheer southern side of the ridge overlooking Yagumyum, follows the almost level spine of the ridge and climbs briefly on a wall towards the summit-ridge of Yagumyum Peak.
The vegetation over the summit of Yagumyum is mostly scrub with few stands of oak with gnarled branches. The position and elevation of the summit make it ideal for viewing except that vistas here are often marred by the fog that often hovers on the summit.
