Punta Gnifetti

Description

Su questa cima si trova il rifugio pi alto d'Europa, la Capanna Margherita, interamente ristrutturata nel 1980: per raggiungerlo conviene prendere la funivia da Alagna per punta Indren (3200 m) e poi in un'ora giungere al rifugio Gnifetti (3647 m) per abituarsi allo sbalzo di quota. La mattina dopo in circa 4 ore si pu giungere in vetta per un ben evidente sentiero interamente su ghiacciaio. Panorama sensazionale!

On this peak it's situated the highest refuge of the Europe, the ref. Margherita: to arrive at refuge, is better that you go to punta Indren from Alagna by telpherage and then in an hour go to ref. Gnifetti (3647 m.) to get accustomed at the height. The morning in 4 hours it's possible arrive to the peak by an evident path on the glacier. Beautiful view!
