Description
Sasso Nero (Tyrolese name is Schwarzenstein)is a massive interesting peak situated in upper Valle Aurina along the border ridge between Italy and Austria. One of most climbed peak in Valle Aurina; from Vittorio Veneto Hut starts Italian Normal Route, an easy snow and ice climb; from Berliner Hutte starts Austrian Normal Route, which is also a basic snow and ice climb. Some other technical routes are available.
