Description

El Púlpito peak is located in the Venezuelan Andes Range, inside Juan Pablo Peñaloza National Park. It is the major altitude of Táchira state. The easiest access is by the location of Las Porqueras, where a National Park Control Center exists. The route enters the highlands passing several glaciar lakes. The climbing of this mountain requires a datailed planning since there is no marked trail and climate changes easily. At night, temperatures can drop below zero. Good luck.
