Description
The Grünten is a 1738 m high peak about 5.5 km north east of the city of Sonthofen in the Oberallgäu. The Grünten is one of the northermost mountains of the Allgäu Alps. Therefore it is also referred to as the Guardian of the Allgäu. Several easy to do routes lead to the Grünten summit. In winter there is also the possibility of doing a ski tour.
