Description
The Feldberg, located in the southern part of the Black Forest, is the highest peak in the Black Forest low mountain range. With an altitude of 1493 m it is also the highest mountain in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. At the same time, it is also the highest point of all the low mountain ranges in Germany. A pretty serious mountain given the fact it is not pat of one of the major mountain ranges.
The Feldberg is located in the south east of Freiburg im Breisgau and is sourounded by the cities of Hinterzarten (north east), Titisee (east), Menzenschwand und Bernau (south) und Todtnau (south west).
