The strating point can be reached within 2 hous from La Paz, you have to drive to the southern part, passing Uni and Ventilla. In Vetilla turn left in a smaller valley where you can follow an unpaved road up to about 4500 Meters. The high camp is located in a sandy valley with nice views at about 5000 meters. From here you can walk half an hour to the glaciers and start there an easy ascend. At the first broad ridge yuo have to turn right. Mururata offers fantastic views over the whole Cordillera Real, especially the near by Illimani.
