Description
Mushroom Peak is located in Jasper National Park. It is situated in the Winston Churchill Range between the Athabasca and Sunwapta Rivers, and can be seen from the scenic Icefields Parkway (Highway 93), and an even better view is from Tangle Ridge. A hanging glacier is positioned 500 meters below the steep north face of the mountain. Mushroom Peak is named for the mushroom-shaped rocks on the summit.
