Description
Depending on the vehicle one can drive to Laguna Serki Khota, a 2 hour drive from Zona Sur, La Paz. This is reached by driving through upper Iripavi, then through Palcoma. From there it is a 1 hour hike to the glacier, then a 1.5 hour hike to the peak. Any crevasses were easy to spot in the late season. In the early season there is an ice bridge to the summit that is easily bypassed. The neve penitents were 1-2 feet high in September, it is a snow field in May.
