Allalinhorn

17/3/71976 Beautiful. Started from Langfluh hut.Slept there after work (I was a lifty). We had a full moon beaming down on a world of new snow, beautiful mountains and glacial forms. We had to use the torch in the moon shadows. Avalanches sounded several times but we didn't see them. Crampons at 6.15 and on the summit at 7.25. We could see right through to Mt Blanc and the Matterhorn in Zermatt was so close, like a thumb sticking out of a near perfect cloud mat. My fingers froze in seconds so the camera was difficult. The ski to work was great. I was at Felskinn by 8.30 with an all day grin a mile wide.
