Description
Silver Peak is located 4.5 miles southwest of Snoqualmie Pass and is visible (weather permitting) to the many travelers crossing the pass on Interstate 90. Standard access for this day hike in summer and fall is from the Pacific Crest Trail. Drive to Windy Pass, hike south 2 miles on the PCT and then follow a spur path through meadows and talus to the summit. Silver Peak is also a popular destination in winter due to its proximity to the Snoqualmie Pass ski area.
Refer to Fred Beckey's Cascade Alpine Guide, Volume 1, for information on alternate approaches and routes.
