Description

Although not tower like at all, The Tower is the unofficial name for a large prominent peak that sits above Rummel Lake and a beautiful Alpine valley with several small tarns. It is located between Mount Galatea and Mount Engadine in the Kananaskis Range. It has a big northeast face similar in character to the northeast face of Mount Galatea.

There is a moderate scrambling route on the south facing slopes which is mostly scree, but relief can be found on some small exposed rock ribs that manage to protrude a bit from the scree.

Access for the peak is from the Smith Dorrien Spray Lakes Road using the unofficial trail to Rummel Lake. The trail can be accessed from the cutline marking the park border, or from the obvious pullout where Rummel Creek meets the Spray Lakes Road.
