Description

This mountain, one of Dominica's several dormant volcanoes, dominates the south of the island. The hike starts from above the village of Giraudel and the trail starts around 1,789ft.

The trail goes through some farmland and is not well defined at the beginning. Soon though you enter rainforest, which towards the top turns to Elfin rainforest and the trail gets a little steeper - and muddier.

The hike to the top will take about 2 hours and is well worth it, with excellent all-round views from the summit.
