Grays Peak

Travis the traveler and I went up the west side of grays from peru creek. After failed first attempt due to weather and wimps from the torreys saddle our second was a two day trip. Left parking lot late morning with plastic sled in tow, full of gear. Snowshoed up to tree line, made camp. had a little nip, ate supper. went moonlight sledding on the mountain with headlamps. left first light. Trudged up the long SW shoulder. beautiful red coloration on the slopes. Mountain goats sighted. Travs dog ollie lost her pack after chasing mountain goats. made summit. dark and windy. great view. didn't stay long. snowboarded down west center chute. Long, steep run. rode almost back to camp. good turns. packed up and sleded out. good times
