American Border Peak

Description

American Border Peak is less than a half mile south of the US-Canada border. With Canadian Border Peak to its north and Mount Larrabee to its south, American Border Peak is the highest of this group of inter-connected peaks on a high ridge between Tomyhoi Creek to the west and Silesia Creek to the east. American Border Peak is located northeast of Mount Baker inside the Mount Baker Wilderness. The approach from Twin Lakes Road via the High Pass Trail involves cross-country route finding on long scree slopes and some exposed scrambling on the southeast face to reach the summit.

The first ascent was made on 9/14/1930 by Alec Dalgleish, Tom Fyles, Stan Henderson, and R.A. Fraser.
