Ben Nevis

Long time since I did this one. Up the tourist path and across a small patch of icy snow near the top. Boiling hot day in the valley but intermittent snow showers at the top and freezing cold. When I climbed it we were overtaken by a guy with a heavy pack moving at speed and didn't think we'd see him again that day. Further up we were surprised to find a sign saying "Fancy a cup of tea?". Just round the corner by a small stream was this guy whose pack had not contained climbing gear but what amounted to a small portable cafe and he was selling cakes, tea, coffee etc. Some people walked straight past muttering something about hallucinations or a mirage but I can vouch for the reality! Whoever you were - thanks its still the best cup of tea I've ever had!
