Mount Katahdin

Completed this hike Columbus Day Weekend, 2000. Started out about 5AM, very cold day. While still below treeline, the snow started. Still made the peak after traversing Knife's Edge, tremendous experience. Dicey climb down...This was a real treat. Only down side was that the weather prevented the truly great views that this hike promised, but the physical exertion was delightful (once it was over). Highly recommend this for the to do list.
