Mount Katahdin

"a word to the wise. on a humid and sunny day, i reccomend you carry at least 3 quarts of water per person. being a novice hiker at the time, i had only 1 1/2 quarts of water and was dehydrated enough to throw up by the banks of katahdin stream when i finished. the view from baxter peak is amazing. i've never been to the mountains out west, but this climb is definitly unsurpassed in the east."
