Mount Williamson

Day hike summit via West Face route.

I left at 12:35am from the Shepherd Pass trailhead. It was early when I arrived at the pass. I hiked across the bowl without trouble. I dropped my pack by the water stain and headed up the scree. I went around snow in a shoot on the right side rocks. I headed up the left class 3 crack at the cliff. It wasn't too difficult and I slipped under the rock to emerge at the wide open summit plateau. I headed hiked around to the mid-plateau and boulder hopped to the summit. No register there-saw a blank brass survey marker at the top. Nice photos. Headed down without trouble. Class 3 carefully was completed. Around the snow shoot carefully done. Slid down the scree to the crater. Picked up water at the lake to the east. Completed the bowl without problem. Ran down from near the top of Shepherd trail to the bottom of the half hill, hiked to the top and ran down to complete. One day trip.
