Wheeler Peak

I was part of a group of seven from CA (Culbertson, Leetham, Calley, Ackermann, and I) and UT (Bernals) that summited. With a 6 am start, it took us about 2 hours 45 minutes to reach the peak, and about 2 hours 15 minutes to descend.

We were lucky in two respects: light wind, and the threatening morning clouds seemed to dissipate leaving great views on top. Our decision to altitude acclimate for 2 days made this a rather easy climb.

I strongly endorse the Wheeler Peak Campground--very nice.
