Description
The northern approach to Fang Mountain is via the Savage River, at an estimated 15-20 miles from the Savage River checkpoint in Denali National Park. The lower portions of the north and northwest faces on Fang offer scrambling and some technical moves on sketchy, poor quality rock. The mountain is seldom climbed, but is believed to have been climbed at least three times, first by a Denali team who climbed it in the 1960s.
