Description

Mount Pendleton lies in the Central Alaska Range at the head of the Pendleton Glacier and East Fork River. It forms part of the spine of the Alaska Range, as its southern slopes flow into the Gulf of Alaska and its northern slopes flow into the Yukon River. The mountain sees very few ascents per year and is remotely located, a multi-day climb from the Denali Park Road. Access via the Pendleton Glacier crosses many small crevasses and once on top, the knife-edged summit ridge is exposed and breathtaking, providing stunning views of Denali (and the Cantwell igloo).
