Description
Old Mike is on the ridge that extends south from Wheeler Peak (highest in New Mexico). The distance from Wheeler is approximately one half mile. The ridge drops to 12,240 feet and Simpson Peak (12,976') is between Wheeler and Old Mike. All three summits are easily reached on a day hike from Toas ski basin via Williams lake.
