Sokolov kamen

Description

Sokolov kamen (The falcon's stone)on Suva planina (Dry mountain) is very heavy high rock just above the town of Nish, on 1523 m. Sokolov kamen is also the highest point of Nish municipal teritory. It is visible from every spot of Nish and it's enviroment, and it is reachable for many climbers from all parts of Serbia.

Sokolov kamen is, in fact, neighbour of Trem, the highest peak of Suva planina.

There are few steps to reach Sokolov kamen. The best way is start from Bojanine vode, then climb to Devojacki grob,crook on 1440 m. From Devojacki grob, climbers have to walk about more hour and a half,the path is very well marked.

There is a magnificant view from Sokolov kamen to town of Nish. It' seems like view from gallery of theatre.
