Description
Twin Sisters in Larimer County, Colorado, is positioned just east of Rocky Mountain National Park, and is a popular training climb for people preparing to climb Longs Peak. Its 3.8-mile moderate ascent features steep switchbacks (2373 feet elevation gain) and great mountain sunrises, especially as the sun rises on Longs, which is immediately southwest.
Twin Sisters is a common name for mountains throughout the United States. In Colorado alone there are peaks known as Twin Sisters in San Juan, Saguache, and Boulder counties, in addition to the current peak.
