Description

The three Peaks of Mount Haast, is located in the Mount Cook National Park. The High Peak, 3140m, the Middle Peak, 3085m. the West Peak, 3081m. They can be reached by the Plateau Hut from the South or Pioneer Hut from the West. The Peaks offer a variety of ascents. The climbs are mixed rock,snow,ice. The standard route is gained from Marcel Col, it was climbed by Graham and Newton in 1907. Grade 2+ Alpine. (Mount Cook Guidebook by Hugh Logan)
