Description
This peak stands alone (hence the name) and is one of the furthest 4,000 footers from an established roadway. It is reached by either Glen Boulder to Davis trails or the Rocky Branch trail. The RB trail has 5 river crossings so it can be difficult in high water. Both trailheads are on US Rt 16 just south of Pinkham notch.
