Description
Eagletail Peakis the highest summit in the mountain range of the same name. While it is fairly easy to reach the summit plateau, three spires which require technical climbing top the peak. These are known as the "feathers," since the mountain derives its name from (a somewhat imaginative) resemblance to an eagle's tail. The middle feather is the lowest and easiest, about 50 feet of 5.1 or so. The south feather requires about 70 feet of 5.3. And the north and highest feather is a climb of about 90 feet, mostly at 5.6 or so with loose rock along the way.
