Deseret Peak

This peak is a fairly easy hike compared to some on the nearby Wasatch Front. Round Trip hiking time is about 6 hours. This hike offer spectacular forest views, deer, and alpine with a 360 Degree view of the West Utah Desert and Tooele area. I hightly recommend this peak. On Aug 5, 2006, we hiked the peak and got chased off by a thunder cloud. Not a good idea to be up there when lightning is around. Enjoy the loop hike. We usually take the left fork and come down the right. The trail is very well defined.
