Deseret Peak

I have lived in the shadow of Deseret Peak all my life. My first summit was as a boy scout in the early 70's and continued through my teens including some failed winter attempts. As an adult I've climbed it many times in every month of the year. I've climbed the North face in the spring and ran to the summit(without stopping) in the summer(it took 1 hour 10 minutes up). I've climbed it in the dead of the winter and been swept 600 feet down a slope in an avalanche and buried to my armpits. I've been in nastier weather on Deseret Peak than I've encountered on Rainier or in the Andes. Three weeks ago I slept on the very summit just for fun. I consider Deseret Peak my mountain and you're all invited to come climb it
