The main difficulty on Aconcagua, I believe, is its weather and altitude. With windy and snowy conditions, Aconcagua can be quite a challenge. In addition, the Canaleta can be quite dangerous on descent when snow cover hides the rocks below. It took me three attempts to reach the summit.
