Description
Its the lowest of the New Hampshire 4,000 footers of which there are 48. Located in a beautiful area with Thornton gap seperating the peaks of Osceola. The southern approach is dominated by Waterville Valley ski area and its trail ascends from the #3 Parking lot. Its 2.2 miles and 2,200 feet of vertical elevation. The more scenic trail ascends from Tripoli road (closed from November to May) on its north side. It is longer and more rugged. It is 3.5 miles and gains about 2,000 feet also. Neither trail have difficult stream crossings. Both trail names are Tecumseh.
