Description

Distinctive rock peak above Indian, Alaska, on the Seward Highway. Rises directly above Turnagain Arm, and the views of the fjord are magnificent.

Many cl. 3-4 routes are possible. The easiest route takes the concealed right branch of the main gully in the center of the east face, which can be approached by bushwhacking to treeline on the large SE shoulder above Turnagain Arm, then traversing north below the rock bands. Ice axes may be helpful in early season. After mid-May, devil's club and other brush can be a hassle below treeline.
