Description
Panama's tallest mountain at 3478m is an extinct volcano with spectacular views from the summit of both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Not too many other peaks can lay claim to that fact. The climb winds up through navel orange orchards, quetzal filled forests and past some of the seven volcanic craters. The trail itself is an all day climb up a scree filled trail but the views waiting at the summit are worth it.
