Description

It is the highest elevation of a fairly long range going in the direction EAST-WEST. The southern slope is in Slovenia and is not very steep, the northern slope is in Italy and is formed by an abrupt north-face extending almost along the whole range. The mountain is very pictoresque and has on the north slope also small glaciers and snow fields, remaining durin g the whole summer. From both sides, the NORTH and the SOUTH one there are cable-ways reaching around 2000 mt height, thus enabling the trip to the summit and to other peaks in the range.
