Longs Peak

Long's Peak is the first "fourteener" that I've ever attempted and it was amazing. My roommate and I drove nonstop from Iowa to the park and began our assent after only a brief nap. We made the summit by 10:30am. The view and weather were perfect all the way to the top and back down to the keyhole. After that a combination of rain, hail, and altitude sickness plagued us all the way to the bottom but it was well worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
