Description
Blodgett Peak is located northwest of Colorado Springs, Colorado, directly southwest of the USAFA. Blodgett is a relatively easy climb gaining about 2,500 feet in elevation in about 2 miles. There are many routes up and down and the trails are not very well marked. What could make this a difficult climb for some is that there are no real well marked trails, plus almost unavoidable contact with losse rocks for a good part of the climb. I've done Blodgett many times (20?) and is a great work-out, and practice for longer, more serious climbs. The avg. time up is an hour and half, and about 45 minutes down (for someone in shape). The view from the top is incredible with views of Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak, the entire Eastern Plains of southcentral Colorado, and more! Please email me with questions or comments.
