This picture was taken last april 4th. Clock was about 6am and we were on camp Choya Deurali. It's on the way to Annapurna's north base camp. We were Finish-American Annapurna expedition and our leader was Ed Viesturs.
Taken looking west, therefore looking at the east face of Annapurna South at Annapurna Base Camp. Pictured are a bunch of Nepalese porters and lodge workers playing volleyball. Picture taken, I believe November 16th, 1999.
Annapurna from the west.
This photo was taken from Kalopani in the Kali Gandaki valley of Nepal in October 2005 just before sunset. Dhaulagiri looms directly opposite, and between these two eight-thousanders lies the trekking route from Pokhara to Jomsom through the deepest valley in the world.
Taken from the Annapurna Base camp, 2006 November. Some base camp trekkers were wary of taking this trip as the sunny afternoon triggered some avalance around the area, but i got lucky and tagged along with a group of experienced climbers who egged me to move on and get to the base camp. Thanks for looking.
